Thanks Massimo for the reply.

As I see in KR link , indeed there is a filter problem of "hood" in 43mm

secondly you must correct by factor 2-3

http://www.kenrockwell.com/leica/filters.htm

Henry

the problem is the external diameter of the crown, which on the original Leitz filters is smaller to allow the hood to fit on the lens. Any other filter (B+W, Hoya, etc) will not allow the hood to enter.

The factor with the M7 is not an issue, as the meter is TTL therefore it corrects automatically the exposure ;-)

Massimo

Very nice, Massimo. I like what you're doing with this film.

thank you Eoin,

it is the first time I use it, and I'm really impressed by the result.

I will make some more this summer in Greece and will post the results in September.

Cheers,

Massimo

Well - to the original post from Mr Doc - I have to say that film, for me, compliments the Leica rangefinder and together they add a joy to the photographic experience.  Even if I didn't get a half-worthy shot it is ALWAYS a pleasure and luxury to shoot film on a Leica. And while I appreciate my hassy and rolli, it's not the same. Surely, the media/format and equipment shouldn't make a difference, but if it feels right, and makes you smile, then so be it.I keep the M9 and MM for travel or projects where I'm taking someone's time to set up a shot, and must review results on the spot.  Otherwise, it's daily film.

Attached a few pics, which were not previously posted to other fora.

I recognize the problem from my Elmarit-M 2.8/24. I may be wrong, but I thought that some B&W filters were particularly thin and would allow for the hood to fit.
