Doc Henry Posted July 2, 2016 Author Share #17784 Posted July 2, 2016 Hello all, many good pictures in this thread! Here is a photo from Auray, Brittany, France. Yacht was leaning against the side of the jetty. Taken with a Leica M3, Kodak T-Max 400, Leica Summarit 50/2.5. Developed in Ilford HC. This is the very first image I have 'scanned' with a Leitz BEOON and a digital camera. Lens used is a CV 50/3.5 due to it's reputation for flatness of field. I manually inverted the curve in PhotoLine. Any tips for scanning with the BEOON? And any thoughts on how to improve much appreciated DSCF2179.jpg It's fine for me Beoon but I have answered to Gary about this technique. Otherwise nice picture Best Henry

gbealnz Posted July 2, 2016 Share #17788 Posted July 2, 2016 Primefilm XA, Pakon F135+ and the BEOON. The first two autofocus and batch process. XA takes maybe an hour or two for a roll of 36, the Pakon a few minutes. The BEOON surprisingly fast because I have an easy film advance setup that means no touching the film and the film is held flat. And the 24 megapixel image from the BEOON looks razor sharp at 100%. Will have to see what my eventual flow will be ... No one should rely on luck! Thank you. If you're happy with the BEOON, great, and don't let me or the Doc talk you out of it. It sounds like you have it sorted anyway. Post some more when you get time. Gary

philipus Posted July 2, 2016 Share #17791 Posted July 2, 2016 Some yummy Canon lenses there RPX-25. 3 things I learned today about stand-developing: 1) It's a very relaxed workflow, allowing you to go and do other things while the film is developing. 2) Going and doing other things is not always a good idea, when you forget that you're meant to be developing film. 3) The extra 20 minutes of forgetfulness and distraction doesn't make that much difference. EoinC Posted July 2, 2016 Share #17794 Posted July 2, 2016 Very nice! What timings and developer did you use Eoin? DDX @ 1:9 w/ 30s initial agitation plus 5 inversions at 36m (was to be 30m, but I got distracted), and out at 1hr 20m (was to be 1hr, but I got distracted)... is there a pattern there?
