Hmmmm, then maybe you can adjust the development of this particular film?

Still, nice images just the same.

Gary

I followed the instruction found on digital truth, Ordinal 1+25 for 6 minutes at 20 degrees.

I was told that it is normal that this film become almost white.

I could try a different development on the next roll, but I do not have any idea on what to change: suggestions?

thanks

Massimo

Massimo looking at your negative it seems right for me . The "light part" comes from all the negative (36 exp) ?

or only on few exp. ?

Thanks Gary.

Regarding the scanner, I get wonderful results with Tri-X, FP4, HP5, Rollei RPX 100 and more, as well with a number of color film....

This RPX 25, when develop, has the light part (the black in the photo) almost white. Probably the contrast is too high for the sensor of the scanner.

Hello Doc,

The entire film is like this one.

Massimo

Massimo you develop yourself or external lab ?

may be lack of fixative or not sufficiently immersed in the fixer, which may explain

the white veil all over the roll , try another roll to see and gives to another lab if you

don't dev yourself. I think the Rollei film is not involved and your M7 works fine :)

... and I add perhaps too old fixer ?

Sorry Massimo I don't read your last post.

Yes first for dev. you have these times

http://pirate-photo.fr/tablesdev/index.php?type=RPX

after how much time for fixer ? 10 mns ? what fixer you use ?

Ilford ?

R

PS: 6 mns for 1:25 dilution it's correct . It remains fixative ? :)

How you shake in the fixer ?
all the time or 10 seconds every minute

My case for all films,  gently turning (Paterson tank10 seconds

every minute  and I leave 10 minutes in the Ilford fixer (for film and paper)

turning (Paterson tank).

As I said you can try another roll to see :)

About my post to Massimo , when I see the pleasure that I have to develop myself
despite some problems but rare times.  I just saw on another thread, someone waiting

for four months to replace its sensor
I confess that I has stopped the digital and I'm happy because more worries in this area ...

Best

The base material should be almost clear, so I also think, that your fixing process is not perfect.

Use an acidic rapid- fixer and mix it 1+4 with water. After fixation ( 5 Minutes, moving every minute for three times) rinse properly with water. That will also help to wash out the anti-halation layer. That is often a problem also with t_max films

( "My Tmax is purple, what shoukd i do....")

You could put this film in a fixing dilution again.
