In the 1580s, the building now a museum, served as residence of William of Orange (also known as William the Silent). In 1584 William was assassinated in the building, the first head of state to be killed with a handgun. Two of the bullets fired at William buried themselves in the wall at the spot of the assassination, and the bullet holes can still be seen. Welcome, dear visitor! MaDeVa Posted June 11, 2016 Share #16884 Posted June 11, 2016 (edited) Some photos taken last Sunday in Turin. M7 + Summilux-M 50 V2 + GGr filter Rollei RPX 25 developed in R09 One Shot 1+25, 6' @ 20d. Unfortunately it seems that my scanner (Plustek 7400) doesn't work very well with this film, resulting in a very low quality scan. gbealnz Posted June 11, 2016 Share #16885 Posted June 11, 2016 They are lovely shots Massimo, but why would just "this film" act like this? Timeless images though. Gary
gbealnz Posted June 11, 2016 Share #16886 Posted June 11, 2016 The “Niewe Kerk” in Delft is a typical Dutch church that has suffered the procedures of the “Beeldenstorm”, 450 years ago. All images that were deemed to be idolatrous, superstitious etc. by the then ruling Protestants were removed, smashed and burned in the market place. The below image is one of the few pieces of the original decoration still in place, albeit in a rather sorry state. Some similarities with happenings in the recent history could be drawn… M6, 90mm, RPX400, svn Rgds Christoph Wonderful series Christoph, with a great story-line to accompany. MaDeVa Posted June 11, 2016 Share #16895 Posted June 11, 2016 (edited) They are lovely shots Massimo, but why would just "this film" act like this? Timeless images though. Gary Thanks Gary.Regarding the scanner, I get wonderful results with Tri-X, FP4, HP5, Rollei RPX 100 and more, as well with a number of color film.... This RPX 25, when develop, has the light part (the black in the photo) almost white. Probably the contrast is too high for the sensor of the scanner.
