At 5X magnification @ f/2.8, the DOF is 0.048mm, making it quite sensitive. That's why I'm using it on a focus rail. Thanks Eoin and Gary

A miller Posted June 5, 2016 Share #16628 Posted June 5, 2016 you traveled with your tripod? Hey Steve - Yes, but not the one that I use at home in NYC. I bought one of these carbon fiber travel tripods: http://www.amazon.com/Sirui-T-025x-Carbon-Fiber-Tripod/dp/B00AZTCHK2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00 Sirui T-025x Carbon Fiber Tripod with C-10 Ball Head Welcome, dear visitor! But I think it worked out quite well..
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! it is under 2 pounds, has a max weight of 12.8 pounds, folds to 11.8" Pretty nifty And it fit nicely (along with the SWC, film backs, film and other sundry accessories) in this camera bag that I have... http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1123603-REG/vanguard_veo_37_shoulder_bag.html I was a little unsure of the success that I would have with the long exposure, which in some case on the bustling Tower Bridge exceeded 2 minutes. A miller Posted June 5, 2016 Share #16629 Posted June 5, 2016 Here is an example of a very long exposure that the tripod seemed to work reasonably well with... Tower Bridge EKTAR tower bridge swuare.jpg When you speak "long exposure" in this case how much ? you mean 1/15 or less ? Great picture Adam I have also a carbon fiber tripod (Manfroto) at the same price of yours. A miller Posted June 5, 2016 Share #16636 Posted June 5, 2016 Well, I thought your last two pictures from London where pretty good - but the colors in this one are absolutely fantastic! Thank you, James. I really appreciate it. As cliche as the photos that I have (and will be sharing) are, the film infuses a certain authenticity to them that, I think, distinguishes the photos from the run-of-the-mill digital photos. Just google "tower bridge at night" and scroll through the images and you'll see what I mean. There are some spectacular scenes and lighting but, to me, the colors are -f$%#k'd up in most of the cases...
