A miller Posted May 27, 2016 Share #16122 Posted May 27, 2016 That Adam is a stunner, I love it, fabulous shot. Gary Thanks, Gary. I had to sit through a long explanation from the woman who was occupying the yellow towel regarding how she bought the umbrella from a yard sale. I just wanted the lady under the umbrella to stay still so I could take the shot and move one... The explanation was endless...
gbealnz Posted May 27, 2016 Share #16123 Posted May 27, 2016 nice POV, Gary. What film? Therein lies a mystery for me Adam. It is a series from perhaps ten years or so ago, and while I was shooting stock images, lots of them, in 35mm as well as 120 (6x4.5, 6x6, 6x7, 6x9). I used whatever I found and was happy with Velvia, as well as E100, and others, I didn't have any particular brand loyalty. The edge of the film does not have the manufacturer, nor the "speed". All it has is "570 40", with the "40" being in slightly smaller type/font. I'd love to know what it is/was, purely out of curiosity more than anything else. gbealnz Posted May 27, 2016 Share #16124 Posted May 27, 2016 Thanks, Gary. I had to sit through a long explanation from the woman who was occupying the yellow towel regarding how she bought the umbrella from a yard sale. I just wanted the lady under the umbrella to stay still so I could take the shot and move one... The explanation was endless... Lovely beach scenes, all of them different, and from at least one you posted elsewhere (the group series) quite a liberal sort of beach too (for us sheltered folk down here anyway). This one though, exceptionally colourful, lovely shot. Worth the earful I say. Gary

gbealnz Posted May 27, 2016 Share #16130 Posted May 27, 2016 Nice Gary Ive never been to Paris............... Then ensure you get there. Two reasons; primarily it is THE place I love to shoot B&W, I simply love it. Secondly, catch up with the Doc for a coffee, something we came oh so close with last year, but will definitely do next year. Gary

Doc Henry Posted May 27, 2016 Author Share #16133 Posted May 27, 2016 I was loaned a 90mm hated it so I will never be buying anything more than 50mm Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk Gary, you love the horses isn't ? Take them with a 90mm and with a 50mm For the 50 you'll get a deformation due to the focus and you will be forced to reframe or crop for a close up and you lose in definition Welcome, dear visitor!
