chris not to late mate.

The XP2 film is on a reel on a black bag. I can easily transfer it to a tank and add LC29 (that's all I have) I just need to know the minutes in the Dev???

I haven't used that, but a quick web search tells me LC29 is essentially a prediluted version of Ilfotec HC, which is very much like HC-110. It should work out fine, but timing will be guesswork for a start. My best results with XP2 and HC-110 are to dilute it 1+49, and develop for 8 minutes. If you like to take a chance, I would try the LC29 at 1+29 (it's max dilution) for that same time. Agitate for 30 seconds at the start, and do 4-5 gentle inversions once a minute. If you still have the film and it hasn't been touched by anything chemical as yet, you can always do it in C-41, which might be best if you think the pictures on it will be as good as those you have shown us.

I have to say you got ribbed mercilessly in the film forum, but you have evidently got some admirable skill with a camera. I think you're right to take it slowly and get to know a couple of films and your chosen developer inside out before getting too wild and wacky. There are so many choices in B&W that it is easy to miss gaining proficiency as you go along as there is always the temptation of something new to try.

So, every now and then the CS film delivers Adam, this looks very nice, I keep looking for the schmooz etc in the upper areas, but nothing. Well, maybe a trace of it, but nothing objectionable.

Looks good.

Thanks a lot, Gary.

You are so right, which is what drives me crazy about this film.

This photo wasn't from the schmootzy roll.

I intended to share more (tasteful) schmootz and will announce it accordingly :)
