chrism Posted April 26, 2016 Share #14528 Posted April 26, 2016 Somewhere here I read of somebody's (was it MarkP?) 'Dark 2 rule' - ISO400 film, aperture at 1.4 or 2.0 and shutter speed the reciprocal of focal length. So I wandered round the house last night with the M2, Neopan 400, Lux 50 @1.4, 1/60 sec. gbealnz Posted April 27, 2016 Share #14534 Posted April 27, 2016 Well this thread that the Doc started has got me by the short and curlies good and proper. It even has me trying colour film, shock horror. I had an old (dated 2013) roll of Ektar 100 in the freezer, so I tried it, in similar circumstances a week after shooting a roll of B&W. Same camera, same lenses, similar scenes etc. Different, that's for sure. I am wondering if colour is me, as I like the X1 or X-Vario colour files, and possibly if I was to do a bit more an old M8 might be more me, maybe. More playing needed. Both with M7, one with 50 Summicron, and the other with the 28 Elmarit Ektar 100. Plustek 8100 Gary Welcome, dear visitor! Plustek 8100 Gary Gary , well first bravo for the change in color and as you still photograph in b&w (I know you now ) I can tell you it's wonderfulk color for a roll of Ektar in freezer , the occasion for me to see Maori style and statue in color. So it's a success. Sometimes life is so sad without some color Thanks for thinking of us and for sharing Gary Best regards Henry Edited April 27, 2016 by Doc Henry

christoph_d Posted April 27, 2016 Share #14540 Posted April 27, 2016 Last Sunday was the annual "Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day". Once a year, on the last Sunday in April, people all over the world take pictures with pinhole cameras (actually any lens-less photo is eligible) and post one of the shots taken on that day on the "Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day" website. I started the day in my favourite local brasserie, having a cup of coffee with my daughter (self-made panorama pinhole camera, Portra 160, 15 minutes exposure) Rgds Christoph
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members!
