As I said above that certain are "formatted" for digital and I think I am right

That said, I have proof in support because I continue to use the 2 systems (digital less now 

and analog)

Others do not agree, but they don't show us in this case examples and give us their arguments

I await them .... :)

What I love in the film , is that "each film is a new sensor" according to the expression of one

famous photographer that I forgot the name who compared the two systems.

You keep thinking 'analogue v digital' if you like, and I'll keep thinking 'is this an interesting image or not' and not be in the least bit bothered how it was created and everyone will be happy. 

 

I visit this thread because there are some very good photographs presented here... surely that's the best reason of all?

Obviously you don't understand... There IS no argument about whether digital or analogue photography is 'better'. It's just photography. How we do it or what system we use is irrelevant to me.

 

And if you want to see any of my photos, there are some in the gallery and some posted on various threads in the forum if you look... not that it matters.

 

Those of us who happen to now use digital predominantly have nothing to prove - and neither do you. It's just tiresome.

interesting results, Steve.  My favorite is the last one.  Remind me, are those two vertical banners a true red in real life or do they have orange tone to them?

Bill- I don't think that Henry is egging you on or trying to be nasty.  I think he is really hoping that you will become an part of the film photo sharing community here.  It is obviously perfectly fine to just look.  And it is not at all a nasty suggestion that you don't have anything worth sharing.  Quite to the contrary, I think you most probably do and all Henry was suggesting is that you drink the kook-aid and jump aboard! :)

I advance you that this is my engineer who do after sales amplifiers Audio Research brand who told me

I treat damp, worn limestone with a similar degree of caution to sheet ice. There's just enough slip potential in Chee Dale to make the 100 yards or so length of Chee Steps a bit of fun as the River Wye rushes past. This outdated Fujicolor C200 I'm finally using up three and a half years late is also a bit of fun. I have to say I'm impressed with the dynamic range, there is at least four stops difference between the banks. My new 28mm f2 summicron asph is another bit of fun too, I'm thinking the 75mm f2 summicron asph would make a good partner for it as a longer term travel plan.

Thanks for the comment A Miller... I don't think he is being 'nasty' at all!

 

I just enjoy looking at interesting photography which is why I frequent ALL the picture threads on here... and there are a number of photographers I particularly enjoy, such as MSV and Lambda and quite a few others.

 

I just think it's uncalled for to keep making digs or disparaging comments virtually every time there is an opportunity to do so. It weakens his position. Probably one of the most interesting, compelling threads recently regarding film was Neil's thread. Not only was it hilarious, he actually posted one or two simply excellent photos from his first film session ever. 

 

My 'film period' was mainly from the seventies and eighties when I did a lot of band photos for various music publications as well as my own stuff and most of the prints displayed at home are film originals from my Nikon F2's I used at the time. But that's not the point... the very act of posting them on here as 'proof' contradicts the very point I'm making... that it doesn't matter! 

 

As as I said, I have posted some recent stuff on here after buying my first digital Leica M, but this is a film thread...  :)

You can post your pictures taken with other cameras in this thread with agreement of Andreas

even with your Nikon , highlighting the quality and variety of different film brands

Why do you insist on arguing Henry?

 

If you look at my profile or do a search on google you will find exactly what my 'profession' is... (and tube DOES give a different sound - I have always said that!).

 

Arguing about analogue and digital may be interesting to you... It isn't to me... it's dull and irrelevant. Now, can you go back to posting photos...? Much more interesting than silly arguments...

Ok... I'll compromise :)

 

This is my son on a heavily cropped tri x if I recall correctly. The photo of this photo was taken on my iPhone! It'll be interesting if it works, it's the first time I've ever tried to upload from it direct to the forum (and I expect it to be deleted as I have broken SO many rules doing this!
