It's 80's night tonight, everyone is taking shots taken in the 80's

And wine from the 80's, perhaps? :)

I hope i have not posted this shot before

In 2011 I 'went back' to film and initially used Kentmere 100 for a while before moving on to Acros 100.  Looking again at some of the Kentmere images, when developed in Ilfosol3 the results were not at all bad. Will have to remember that should Acros100 become unavailable, although I wonder how Kentmere would be with Rodinal (the only developer I use nowadays).

M7, ZM Biogon 35mm f2.

I put it back here, for you to take a look. I find very interesting and it further enhances the film

Kodak TX.

Good reading

Henry

I have started using them for slide and clour film and it is walking distance to their premises [emoji1] Edited by gsgary

Nice and vivid but "soft" color Christoph

Best

Henry

Henry,

The "soft" color has more to do with the subject and the light than with the film.

In the right conditions the colours hit you smack between the eyes  :

Christoph, I agree with you, it requires light to have a nice color

....  but not always

What I wanted to say , this is to compare with digital, sometimes with the film

I can have a picture with nice color, even in the shade , case of your photo

Color film is more sensitive , the fact of the 3 red-green-blue film layers

Instead of one layer with the digital which is less sensitive **

That said , nice red Christoph in your last picture

Rg

H.

** Spectral sensitivity (from "Spectral Instruments Inc.US") :

film = 200-1300 nm

CCD sensor = 300-1100

Cmos sensor= 400-1100

because of the low sensitivity mentioned above , I will want just to add

that with the M9 too much sun does not give a good color

I prefer to shoot with less sunlight  to have a beautiful color with the digital

contrary to the film more sensitive and more dynamic  :)

Awful weekend weather and light. Flat, dull, no contrast and drizzling. 1/8s for the bar shots, but thought I'd give it a go.

Anyway...............................................................

Ilford Delta 100, stand developed in Rodinal, Zeiss Ikon Zm and 35mm Summilux 35mm Pre Asph.

They turned out very well! Good job on the bar shots. The reflection in the mirror on the second one is impressive.

That was the one Eoin. Fuzzy surrounds but snappy in the middle with the reflection, the only place there was any light. Glad you spotted that!

I was shooting a 35'lux pre ASPH wide open and it was struggle.

@Eoin it seems for me pictures are better for exposure and definition or it provides from your scanner

comparig with your pictures posted above with another camera ?

@RapierW the definition is incredible in your last pictures.

Both of you are wonderful grain , tonality and shade of b&w and definition is great  :)

may be also providing of Ilford PanF and Delta 100

Thanks for sharing your pictures with us :)

Best

Henry
