Have you tried with Plusteck software (PS) ?

Can you compare between the two versions PS and Vuescan pro, with standard setting

I am curious to know if you have a difference

H

I didn't get ghetto software with the scanner but I will try with PS when I get back from my dog walk

Adam, it's also nice better than you posted above but your statue is too big  and high !

I think you need a wide angle for that

Best

Henry

Need a wide angle?  I used 53mm in 6x9 format, which is a little over 23mm in 35mm format.  That's not wide enough??

I actually think this could be a winner as a large 5-6 foot tall life-size print; like you are standing face-to-face with a giant chrome super-hero

...Earl of Scarborough to the right biggest land owner in Yorkshire

He doesn't look that much bigger than the other people...Sorry, couldn't resist

Very nice shots, Gary. It still amazes me that scanned images of negatives (B&W and colour) need little or no post-processing. I find that truly pleasurable, compared with my digital experience, where every shot seems to need a tweak.

All I do is scan then in PS slight curves and sharpen and sometimes a small boarder

Nice color and nice perspective. This I'd like to see in print, as to me it does not quite work on my ipad: The shallow depth of field is not shallow enough to make the background blurrily interesting, and neither deep enough to render the background interesting ... If you know what I mean.
