christoph_d Posted March 3, 2016 Share #12150 Posted March 3, 2016 Not many people will know that back in 1989, Ektar was rated at 125ASA A surprisingly forgiving film as can be seen below - clearly quite a slow shutter speed (moving foliage) used on my Pentax ME Super and in those days I would have relied on what the camera's meter was telling me. Saumur & the River Loire. Keith, Very nice picture! As to the Ektar, I think they used different chemicals in the emulsion at the time. There was also an Ektar 25, 100, 160, 200, 400 and at one point (I think) even 1000. I do regret the demise of the 25 . The current Ektar 100 was re-launched something like 6 years ago. EoinC Posted March 3, 2016 Share #12152 Posted March 3, 2016 Indeed - three rolls of Acros 100 and one of Tri-X used in the first six days of ownership. Admittedly there are only eight frames per roll but even so that is high usage for me! Highly delighted with the results, seventeen of which have been posted in this thread. I'm really enjoying your journey with the GW690II, Keith. Very inspiring!
