honcho Posted February 23, 2016 Share #11792 Posted February 23, 2016 Some more from Arbor Low, I'm loving the GW690 and Foma 200, just had 10 rolls of Foma 400 which i like a lot Family portrait kind of The light was changing very quickly because of a snow storm You're beginning to see what that 90mm Fujinon can do now, aren't you! You need some filters next.

I'm going to get some at NEC probably an orange I noticed a stand that sells top quality ones, I've got a Lee filters kit that would work if I remove the hood
honcho Posted February 23, 2016 Share #11795 Posted February 23, 2016 I'm going to get some at NEC probably an orange I noticed a stand that sells top quality ones, I've got a Lee filters kit that would work if I remove the hood I wouldn't remove the hood for the sake of using Lee or graduated filters unless you're going to use transparency film, although it was once possible to buy screw-in grads. Maybe still is, you'd have to research it. As I use black and white film exclusively in the GSW, grads aren't much of a consideration anyway because I use only a Heliopan O22. You'll probably find with the 690 that an orange will be perfect for 85% of the kinds of images you like to create and a green would do for the rest. I'll be at The Show from the Sunday onwards.
philipus Posted February 23, 2016 Share #11796 Posted February 23, 2016 Yes I agree. I had the all chrome version which is very front-heavy due to how the lenses are arranged (I seem to remember there is a later, lighter version too) but it was a great lens. Thank you, a bit heavy but great performer, it was all Nikon rangefinder on that trip.
