Guest Posted February 3, 2016 Share #10645 Posted February 3, 2016 you're gonna like the cinestill. Just remember to treat it like portra and overexpose it a stop when the lighting is low. And for daylight it is fine but better with an 85B filter and exposed at 500 instead of 800. Right, DX recoder stickers are now on their way... two sets, one for ISO 800 (the nominal rating for Cinestill 800T, obviously) and t'other is ISO 1600. Adam, the +1 exposure comp is noted, and shall dial that into the Contax T2. Looking forward to a night time, city lights experiment, then will report back here with the results. Erm, its film so don't hold yer breath. Ric

Guest Posted February 3, 2016 Share #10648 Posted February 3, 2016 Rapperswil - Ilford XP2 by -Ric Capucho- Right, another XP2 shot from me, and quickly before Henry and Adam banish me... the T2 has a 38mm lens, which doesn't sound particularly wide... until a combination of distance and the geometry of the street exaggerates it somewhat. NO PUSH AND DEVELOPED AT 800 1 OR 2 STOP PUSH (can't remember) Ok, the straight unpushed pickies look fantastic, but then I can be a bit of a bokeh whore it seems. I can see that your pushing allowed a greater depth of field, so for sure a viable alternative. I assume you exp comped all of the first four ISO 800 at +1 anyway? If not, I think with f/2.8 and ISO 800 and 1/30 then I've got a winning combination already. Ric
Guest Posted February 3, 2016 Share #10653 Posted February 3, 2016 Ooh, there's posh! T'wer called the Willows when I were a lad. It was the only secondary school in Marple until Marple Grammar opened in hmmm, 1960 or thereabouts. Was a Comp by the time I landed in 1976... but the nickname remained The Willows anyway. Marple Grammer morphed into Marple Hall Comp in the early 1970s too, so plenty of choices for a daft lad in those times. Ric

The first several photos were from a bokeh binge in Times Square with my 75mm sumilux, which I get the appetite for sometimes (and I have the luxury of being able to walk a few blocks from my home to fulfill). It had little to do with the film speed; i.e., I could have stopped down to 5.6 but deliberately shot at f1.4-2.8 to most fully binge on the bokeh. You'll have a winning combo know matter what you choose as long as that film is in your camera and your are shooting with it
