philipus Posted January 25, 2016 Share #10122 Posted January 25, 2016 Now for some colour. Shot in Visby harbour during the holidays (no snow, sniff). Both M4 50/2 v3 and Superia 200. Flickr Flickr
philipus Posted January 25, 2016 Share #10123 Posted January 25, 2016 Very cool effect. Well, the GF670w has gone past what I was willing to pay, I hope I don't regret it! Here is another from Liverpool, with clues that look like flames. LiverpoolNov2015046.jpg
philipus Posted January 25, 2016 Share #10124 Posted January 25, 2016 Personally I don't care how an image has been cropped. If the image "works" it works (like it does in this photo, nice one Ric). That said, when I photograph I try to use the constraints imposed by a particular film/camera format to find the most appealing composition. I find that this is a good way to improve how I see images when I look around. But, if I discover in post that a composition didn't work, then I won't stand on principles and leave the photo as is but rather crop to improve it. Rapperswil by -Ric Capucho-XP2 and the Contax T2... I cropped this into a square to try and solve a compositional problem. Not sure what others think on the subject of cropping, but I do it reluctantly. But I do occasionally do it!Ric
