philipus Posted January 22, 2016 Share #9963 Posted January 22, 2016 Apologies for the long post, but as I am going through my rolls from Nice last year I'm discovering that I seem to have shot (entirely without plan or purpose) several photos with three main subjects, like the below (same equipment, film and development as earlier). With Double-X/5222 (like with Tri-X in 135 format) it's easy to get very contrasty images which can look really inky and cool, but here I've tried to maintain smooth(ish) tones throughout the image. I have a few others I will post later that have a different look. FlickrFlickrFlickrFlickr

"Sunrise" is just about to be released in the theaters this spring (US, UK and France releases) so it will not be available online or on DVD for a while. christoph_d Posted January 22, 2016 Share #9969 Posted January 22, 2016 Here a somewhat older picture. In May 1981, I walked along an abandoned Railway line in the north of Berlin. The sun was setting and bathed the landscape into a beautiful light. The railway line was abandoned since 1961 and just behind, on the other side was "the wall". I took a few pictures, amongst them the attached one, and distinctly remember that my presence caused the border guards on the east side into some frenetic activities ... The film I used came from that part of Germany too: Orwochrom UT18. Welcome, dear visitor!
