This spot is overrun by tourists (and someone visiting from Los Angeles definitely counts as a tourist in the eyes of an SF local), but it's hard not to get a nice picture.

Hello Henry,

Nice photos.

I think I like the M8 photo a little better. Altho I wasn't there to see what the colors actually were.

Best Regards,

Michael

Hi Michael, it lacks detail and color in the shaded area in the foreground

In general the color is less bright better in film Ektar as I said above  :)

Thanks for your advice Michael

Best regards

Henry

Very nice color Christoph

What's CN ?

Good Morning Henry,

Digibase CN 200 is a colourfilm from Rollei that is characterised through the absence of the reddish colourmask that most other colour negative films have. To my eye it gives slightly old fashioned colours - which I quite like.

Another view of Brantome and the River Dronne.  MP, Summaron 35mm f2.8, Portra 400.  The rich colours from this film are quite at variance with the more pastel shades of Ektar exhibited in the photos uploaded by Adam et al.  Or is it just the fairly intense sunlight?

Okay guys, as I said earlier I'm now mainly shooting the Leica S system, but! I couldn't help myself shoot some film during the summer with my R8.

Here is a shot of some men doing something on the roof of some building.

Leica R8, Vario-Elmar-R 1:4/80-200, Kodak Portra 160

Also I couldn't help myself use up the developer stock I still had:

Leica R8, Vario-Elmar-R 1:4/35-70 Macro, ILFORD FP4+ (Home developed in D76 1+3)

"100 years of Leica" magazine, and a flower bouquet. I couldn't help myself and had to shoot this on FP4+.
