Thanks, Henry.

I've recently been enjoying my old Leica gear again, taking some along on all my hikes.

I do like the reversal films a lot but of course the negative materials (Portra, and the various B+W films) better handle the extreme brightness range that we so often encounter, especially at higher elevations.

Best,

James

James I went down in the South recently and I took both M digital and film cameras

I have developed on paper color today, the colors of Kodak Portra are superior and

faithful vs pictures of M9 and M8 !

You're right to go out with your old Leica gear :)

You notice in the foreground the formation of fog with the still hot ground and the cold air above
Steam well reproduced by the film grain :)

Dear All

A few shots from recent TriX roll.

London 6 Day cycling. Handheld F2 1/30s 35mm ASPH M4. Mixed results.....

Waiting for the Devil......(for those not acquainted with track cycling "Devil take the hindmost" - last rider eliminated every 2 laps until last rider sprints for the win)

I was going to say a similar thing, but knew that Henry would give me a ribbing about being scared of heights.

I'd always wanted to have a go at ballooning, but a spate of recent accidents (one "considerable" one in our country a few years ago) has dampened that enthusiasm. No real excuse but.............

Looks nice though.
