Another early morning cityscape with EKTAR (from a few weeks ago).

I like the composition and went back to this spot this morning for the sunrise in an attempt to get the skyline sharper (and capture the scene with more of the rising run in the sky) and I miscalculated the tide and got too close to the water and then at the wrong moment got engulfed in a wave from a distance passing tug boat.  Never saw it coming... :o  My pants and shoes were completely soaked and I lost my Minolta Spot Meter F which I had to repurchase on Ebay earlier today.

Bad luck, regarding the spot meter, but the picture is great!

It's an amazing structure Henry, a weird sensation exiting the metro for the first time and seeing it, I'll never forget it.

love it, Henry.  It has a timeless look.  I would hope, though, that in the final print you would open more of the shadows in the faces and bodies.  Then it would be a real classic for someone's wall...

Henry,

for you a picture from France. Le Rhone, in Lyon, photographed from the passerelle du college.

The colour implosion film used gives it a nice (g)rainy feel.

Thanks Christoph you're right,  I like a real and faithful color with its grain in this picture.

Also nice week for you :)

With all the great images being posted, I need to go shoot some more to keep up.

My Europe shots are stil being scanned, slowly, though.

A wet and miserable day in Paris, this near the Pantheon, in the Latin Quarter near where we were staying.

Gary , it's a shame about the weather when you were in Paris and did not see you , next time maybe :)

I know this place photographed.

Yes Henry, a shame, but the way it went, unfortunately, and as you say, "next time". We did catch up with a rascal named Leo in Rome, a great friend to have, and we had a great time.

The weather was damp only for a day, and in some respects it was welcome, created a nice atmosphere.

Regards

Gary

Sad story but really a beautiful photo. It was worth to be there!

Used my M4-P as an action-cam :):

Cinestill 50 a great film for sea color ... like Kodak Portra 400 :)

From the Norman fishermen, the color of the sea depends largely on the sky and the color of green algae in the water.
