Here's a film of which I was lucky to find a few bulk rolls - the previous version of Tri-X (edge code 5063). All rolls expired in 2001-2003 but were refrigerated. So far I haven't seen any negative effects of the age. I think it has nice grain.

These are from the Amsterdam Apple Store where they have these cool lamps everywhere. Shot with M4 and 50/2 v3 (11817, souped in HC110B.

An old monastery from the Pan F Plus 50 roll. It was raining, absolutely pouring down and this was shot from under a large umbrella. Here's the fullsize scan.

It was here that I read sometime ago about the Rondinax daylight developer tank, so I started looking for one and today I got mine from a seller on ebay.... For just 20€ :-)

Philip and Henry - Thanks very much.

Philip - Thanks to you sharing your experience and information online, I have made contact with Focal Point and order a glass setup for my nikon coolscan.   I probably wouldn't have found this solution otherwise...

Adam -- Got the cataract removed from my left eye yesterday and can see the difference in  the color. Liked your shot and am looking forward to the right eye getting corrected in a couple of weeks. Perhaps I might start preferring Ektar to Portra!

Best,

Steve

Best,

What?!?

Is that why I haven't seen you at the gym recently!?

Assuming you are serious, I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing those issues and hope that you get full sight and other recovery very fast.

And check out my photo again when you get that right eye corrected... ;)

I find Ektar particularly steller with reds (and people from African decent).

With greens and blues (and/or people other than those of African decent) I think Fuji Pro 400H or portra is better

Absolutely serious.....operation was yesterday morning, back at work today .... left eye a little fuzzy but that will take a little time for swelling to go down. Was at gym last couple of weeks, resuming running in a week, weights a little longer than that ..... Looking forward to really "seeing" Ektar! Always found it too red .... perhaps a shoot around next week? Email me

Steve.... few days of patience and everything will become again normal

Do not forget the eye drops and prevent the sun wearing glasses :)

Good recovery Steve

Cheers
