Adam I find this picture of my compressor . I use it for dusts on the negative , before I scan or

also for my enlarger before I develop in silver paper.

What is extraordinary in the photo, is that we "fixed" at one moment a gesture or a look of someone ...

and sometimes watching after the image , we discover things we did not expect at all to see and we

did not notice when the picture is taken :)
People are in a "fixed" position  !  truly remarkable

Camera M is really made for the street, not like SLR, very discreet, almost unnoticed by the people !

That's why I prefer now M system with range finder , extremely accurate to focus.

and Adam is right to choose 28mm  lens for street photo better than 35 mm because we can photograph

all the whole street scene  :)

Street photos continuation :)

In this picture we see that dynamic of the film is far superior to the sensor

with all the detailin both the shadow and high light .... and colors are preserved
Bravo the film
  !

I like the stroller of the child completely covered

102ºF, and if I wind down the saturation for magenta it ends up perfect, Trouble is, if I do that and repost to Flickr it will destroy the link in the post! But you're right, I should have paid more attention at the time....

Just some random thoughts (again) - I guess I'm not a camera collector, I only have three cameras,
M7 0.85 with APO Summicron-M 50/2 ASPH
M9-P with Elmarit-M 28/2.8 ASPH
C-Lux 2

I feel like the M7/APO-50 is a modern take on the classic film reporter camera from the 1950th, compact and reliable. Using the M7 is easier in many ways, storing the negatives for the future is cheaper than storing gigabytes from the current digital cameras. It's also more about capturing nice shots with the 24 or 36 frames in a roll.

Nice color Ellie.

You're right about storing gigabytes , not sure you can keep them for 40 years !

advantage here of the  film.  I have negative undamaged of the 1970s !

102°F = 38,88 °C

Not too much Chris ?

Usually 37°C = 98,6 °F  or  *** 30°C = 86°F

Have you heater waterbath or dry hotplate ?

I took a roll of Fujifilm Superia 200 with a "blur filter" today :D  They say it's good for soft portraits and I'm curious how it will turn out reportage?

See the many lenses in the filter:

Henry,

The instructions for Unicolor C-41 chemicals are for 102ºF. I was using a waterbath for heating the tank and the chemicals, but with the motorised tank I just warm the chemicals in the waterbath, and use a 105º presoak to warm the tank and film. I'm surprised to find it makes no difference to the output. I would attribute the magenta simply to the tendency of Fuji Superia to be a very warm film. The same methods of development have worked fine for other films, and I would consider this one a success too, albeit one where I ought to have toned down the colours in LightRoom after scanning. The only difference with this last film is that an electric motor would the knob of the Rondinax for the whole development and not my right hand!

Some more 'poundland' family snaps. I know it is heresy in these parts but I really rather prefer this film to Portra (which I stocked up on earlier this year).

Great stuff Ian. I particularly like the first one which is very nice indeed. Reminds me of the lovely series Paulus posted a few years ago regarding his daughter.

It's very boring weather here today so I'm looking at sunny photos.
