Cuthbert Posted June 17, 2015 Share #5183 Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) Nice rose picture in b&w Cuthbert Thanks for sharing Best Henry Still I'm getting bored of XP2, perhaps I should procure some Neopan C-41. However, here there's a shot with the wide angle Orion 15 at the Leamington peace festival, I was trying to get as much DOF as possible: Edited June 17, 2015 by Cuthbert

dave.gt Posted June 17, 2015 Share #5189 Posted June 17, 2015 Downtown, NYC M-A, 28mm elmarit pre-asph, portra 400 This is the first time I have actually seen a selfie-stick on a forum as part of the street scene in NYC. I have very good friends on another forum but I have not seen them post anything similar. It may be iconic and commonplace but looking at it for the first time, it seems comical. But then we live in the sticks by comparison in the Deep South!!! LOL...of course it may be strange to me since I rarely leave the house. Thank you for sharing your scenes from NYC!
Cuthbert Posted June 17, 2015 Share #5190 Posted June 17, 2015 Wow nice black Cuthbert Keep XP2 Best Henry If I'm allowed to speak in Lombard I would say "me pias no". BTW you can' install a yellow filter on the Orion because if you do that you can't change the f stop (yeah, really!)...I need to get a Russar MR 20 in decent condition at a decent price ASAP...with the external finder of course.

But overall I am really impressed. If this is your APO, I think you are making it sing with film. I still have my cost-benefit issue. But putting that aside, the lens shows its sharpness quite well. Please post more!

Very interesting, Dave. I think that one can make an entire photo excursion based exclusively in Times Square with the sole objective of capturing interesting poses with selfie-sticks. It is really quite fascinating how people seem to want to capture themselves with the specific "selfie POV." If you ever come to NYC, please look me up and we will have a fun time. Please post more! Thanks, yes I noticed I could have tweaked it a bit in LR after I posted. I usually don't change colors LR but just clicking auto WB made a difference (changed photo below). A miller Posted June 17, 2015 Share #5195 Posted June 17, 2015 Thanks, yes I noticed I could have tweaked it a bit in LR after I posted. I usually don't change colors LR but just clicking auto WB made a difference (changed photo below). Yes it's my APO50, I'm now down to only two lenses, this and my Elmarit-M 28/2.8 ASPH. 20150607-09.jpg M7 Summicron-M 50/2 Fujifilm Superia 200 yes, that's better. Your tweak made the colors of the flower pop even more. WB is my biggest PP challenge. I can stare all day and not notice that it is off. Then I can come back to it after a day and notice an unbalance. For me, marination is really the only way. And then just when I think I have it right, I export the file from LR and notice that the resulting jpeg may not have the same WB as what I saw in LR. So often more tweaking is required. I often make several tweaks after posting a preview on this forum. It is crazy!

Doc Henry Posted June 17, 2015 Author Share #5198 Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) Firstly thanks to Ingrid, Adam and David to have made your choice ... but I realize to day that I also took this "same mountain , at the same moment" , with my second camera MP with Kodak TX400. You can see in the middle , a group of bikers on color picture and on b&w KodakTX ! Here it is this picture, not quite like the color picture converted to black and white and the grains are finer with Kodak TXThe picture is without doubt better . You can see a little in the middle and at left a same group of bikers on color picture and KodakTX ! Conclusion : advantage of having two cameras, my case M7 with Kodak Portra 400 and MP with the Kodak TX400, yes I know I'm lucky I can now enlarge this photo in 30 x 40 cms on photo paper Ilford ! A miller Posted June 17, 2015 Share #5199 Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) fyi, I have made a suggestion to the Admins to reorganize the sub forums that focus on film-related topics so that they are concentrated into a group under the heading "Everything Film." Here is my post: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/246567-reorganizing-the-film-forums/?do=findComment&comment=2836782 If you agree with my broad suggestion (or even if you don't), you might wish to consider making your opinion known....
