Just some random thoughts: It seems to me the lens has a lot of impact when using film. Three comparisons with Ilford XP2 400 film.

Ellie, apparently the Summicron is the best in my opinion but the ideal is to make the same shot with 3 lens

at 2300 m , the weather is very unstable snow (-5°C) , wind, cloud and avalanche risk

(we are at the end of May 2015).

with stunning landscapes, a film Kodak Portra that captures the atmosphere (without correction),
cameras M7 and MP  that work well at -5 ° C,  good conditions for the photo

James - it is always nice to have the perfect film for the scene, especially when you are on the other side of the world.  This shows that you had pre-visualized your on-location photography, which is great...
