People should stop bitchfightin about how good their analog photos are, compared to the digital crap of others AND the other way around!

I enjoy both, no matter what the film cult or digital cult think of it.

From time to time I'm just wondering why grown adults can act like more childish than my toddler.

Would prefer to just see people posting photos without all the 'my d**** is larger than yours' drama...

End of my rant, it's off my chest.

I DO like to bitchfight about it especially when I see superprocessed pics ultrasharpened and ultracontrasted artificially used to "prove" how a lens from the late 70s is sharp and contrasty!

You want to see how a £19 lens performs? I'll show you on film (in this case XP2 with a Y2 filter):

xpve6b.jpg

Is that good enough at f2.8?

Hi Cuthbert, don't worry, 80% of people are formatted for digital pictures ie supports the corrected color with photo software (without a basic scientific knowledge on color versus photography school or optical).

On the contrary, I found your last picture * very pretty very soft , no smooth edges or lines ,artistic  because I refuse to be formatted and also when I compare it with the image that I recorded in the visual cortex of my brain.  :)

....*  picture with a soul, we will enjoy watching again, not the case with digital images

I'm a little surprised to see how brainwashed some people seems to be, they consider any picture taken with normal light not processed as ugly, dull or boring.

I assume this is their ideal model:

Old cameras like M3 or M4 with recent Leica lenses (Summilux asph)  such as digital cameras like M9 or M240  with old lenses (Summaron) give beautiful images, perhaps the solution to soften the digital side of digital cameras !

Berlin, Congress hall by Hugh Stubbins. The nickname for this building is "Schwangere Auster" - "pregnant oyster". Built in 1956/1957, the roof collapsed in 1980 causing the death of one man. Rebuilt in 1987:
