Guest Posted April 23, 2015 Share #4127 Posted April 23, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) thanks, Henry. I resent the comparison, but I still love you Adam, your work is head and shoulders above Mr Kim's. Ric
A miller Posted April 23, 2015 Share #4128 Posted April 23, 2015 (edited) Ric - That is very kind and makes me think that perhaps I came across as arrogant. I in no way meant to suggest that I am better than Eric or anyone else. So please forgive me if I came across that way. I just wanted to be clear that I don't borrow from anyone's style or try to emulate anyone. I try to execute on my own vision, for better or worse. I do, however, draw inspiration from people that I come across that help me think outside of the box and push my own limits. Garry Winogrand is a good example. I unfortunately can't be shooting as much as he did to be able to articulate a consistent vision as voluminously as he did. But I find his work to have a very interesting and personal aspect and a thread of imperfection at the same time. He didn't take his photos too seriously; but collectively they were (and are) so celebrated - and interesting to look at. Guest Benqui Posted April 24, 2015 Share #4140 Posted April 24, 2015 Great shot, Marc. The only thing I am curious about is the halo around the left side of the person. Am I right, that it is due to post processing? Yes it is James. The face of the fisherman was a bit too dark in my opinion, so I tried to "illuminate" him a bit. best regards Marc
