Doc Henry Posted April 18, 2015 Author Share #4021 Posted April 18, 2015 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear all, Two more pictures from the Fondation Louis Vuitton. It is the same piece of art (I forgot the name of the artist), the same lens (2.8/24A), just a slightly different point of view - but the impression of size changes dramatically. 150404_1_M6ttl_0027 (1).jpg A small sculpture? 150404_1_M6ttl_0029 (1).jpg A big sculpture? (Actually, if you view the picture "correctly" you still get the right impression visually. Depending on the size of the image on your screen, you'd have to view it from a distance of about 100 mm from the screen - and squint - to get a proper perspective... For those that like formulas: viewing distance = image magnification x focal length) Best regards Christoph Christoph It's Thomas Schütte http://www.fondationlouisvuitton.fr/en/la-collection/la-collection-pagearticle-shutte.html Very nice pictures.Well done Thanks Christoph Best Henry Edited April 18, 2015 by Doc Henry

gsgary Posted April 19, 2015 Share #4037 Posted April 19, 2015 That's a lovely pic but I prefer "real" vintage bikes, especially cafe' racers: Lovely cafe racer but it is more classic than vintage

Cuthbert Posted April 19, 2015 Share #4039 Posted April 19, 2015 Lovely cafe racer but it is more classic than vintage The owner said it was originally a CB650 from 1979, so yes vintage in my book. It remembered my first bike, a CB400SS I also cafe raced with low handlebars and Giuliari seat, I had taken a pic of that bike but I can't find it. My first bike was a Garelli Tiger Cross in 1969 I bought a brand new Yamaha RD250E since then had quite a few but now have a BMW GS1100 and Yamaha FZS1000 Fazer
