Hi Doc :) @73 I don't have too many wishes left on my list,

but One to be added would be to spend a few days taking photographic inspiration from yourself.. Magical is how I would headline your 35mm work..

I'm out and about for the next 2days using my new M-P Safari.. Inspiration please ;)

Regards, L

Woo, that's a tough cookie. I wouldn't want her as my headmistress. Is she the daughter of the headmistress of Zweinstein?

very funny, Otto, and thanks, Henry.

Here's the immediate second shot, which didn't work out for a variety of reasons, but I add it for context...:)

Could be. But I'm sure I produced purple fringes with slide film too, with any lens. If the contre-jour is strong enough it's easy to let it happen, as lct already stated in the thread you cite.

If I start pixel-peeping on the first image of this series:

http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/people/366814-joe-bonamassa-concert.html

I see it too. This is with 35FLE on 2.0.

The question is do you really want all the optical flaws wiped out and do you want a lens that does that with merciless perfection?

Otto you have some explanations of 01laf here:

http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/1572052-post53.html

Film can have purple fringing but less than sensor and some lens
