I have this picture enlarged in 13x18 (Ilford paper) , framed with large margin and hanging in my living room :).

It does not cost me dearly by myself . Your advice ?

Hello Henry,

Trees can become friends

Trees are as varied

Henry,

I've got a small stock of Polypan-F 50 film. It is surely not the best emulsion around, considering it's nominal 50 ASA,

but it comes quite cheap. In Rodinal at 100 ASA I sort of like it. It exhibits a rather pronounced grain and in most

circumstances quite a "dry" expression. As it misses an anti-halation layer it can, at times, also show nice halo

effects. I attach some sample photos for your perusal. First one looking down onto one of these small picturesque

towns in northern Italy, through the window of a "Funicolare".

Polypan-F can also be excellent for Portraits. The gentlemen pictured here sold us some merchandise in front of one

of the churches in Istanbul, extremely friendly, he was happy to sit for a portrait afterwards. (I sort of missed you at

the Istanbul challenge, will you join the crowd next year in Vienna?)

Christoph stunning portrait , natural, well done !

You're right , fine grain on the face !

It's a film when you have good light, I believe ?

Thanks for posting

Henry

For the portrait , do you need a light meter with your M3 ?

Ingrid respect ! :)

This is what Buddha also thought

Perhaps the fascination is that when I was young, I'm afraid of the big trees "at night" because I think he is "alive" . I lived in the country .... or

maybe I watch too much ghost movies :)

I posted many b&w pictures of fog , but less in color :)

Here some more pictures in color Kodak Portra 400 , a fabulous film imo !

fog and autumn color well reproduced ...

note the gradient and shade from the foreground to the background in the level of color !

trees trunks, autumn leaves on trees ,herbs (in green) and autumn dead leaves on the ground ,

much more subtle than with my M8 !

"Film grain" is great and in perfect symbiosis with "droplets of fog"

in color and in b&w ! :)

Do you agree ?

.... at high tide :)

What you see on the beach, they are "concrete blocks" to anchor the landing boats carrying war materials.

There are also off the coast on the left (not in this picture but in previous picture)
