dave.gt Posted May 7, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 7, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I love Leica! Everytime I have a problem or a question, they give me great solutions and answers! Recently, I have been contemplating a D6 to go with my X1. A mini Leica digital kit! But then I only have Windows XP....Lightroom 4 does not work on my computer!!! The Panasonic version of the camera, the LX7, is on sale at B&H this week for $348!!!! But you have to use their software for Windows XP. Today I received the following information from Leica Germany that solves the problem if anyone else is having problems with LR4 compatibility with XP: "Thank you very much for your message. The Raw Files of the D-Lux 6 (RWL) are only supported by Lightroom version 4.In case your operating system does not support Lightroom 4, you can use the Adobe DNG converter to convert your D-Lux6 images to standard DNGs which are also working with Lightroom 3. WINDOWS version:http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5486 MAC version:http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5485I hope this was helpful. If you have further questions feel free to contact me. Mit freundlichen Gruessen / kind regardsAnsgar Wehnge Leica Camera AG " Now to decide on the LX7 for $348...or the D6 at $799....
