A minor thing really, but the white paint of the words accompanying button functions to the left of my M8 LCD screen are flaking off rapidly, I don't mind too much, just wear and tear with age I guess, but anyone got any quick remedies for getting them back? As in the best kind of paint to use? And a method without leaving excess paint over the back..?

thanks

Well, just in case anyone else has this problem at some point, I tried acrylic paint under a magnifying glass, with a very fine brush.....forget it, still too wide! I was idling at my desk this morning and spotted a fine tipped Tippex (correction pen)....I thought it might be worth a go and has proved ok.....you can get in the grooves better than a brush and scrape off the excess quite easily, not perfect, but looks better at least..........but for how long??

Micro tools.com Buy a lacquer stick.

Remove ALL the old leftover paint with a round wood toothpick so you start fresh.

Rub the stick over the engraving generously, then wipe off excess. WAIT a day then wipe off the haze. Much like removing tile grout which is done the same way.

After a a month, when it is fully dry, a few coats of NuFinish car finish. Buy the liquid version.

There is nothing to be done for printed on letters. Cost reduction. You take the hit and buy a new back.
