Mixalis Posted April 14, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 14, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've had my new M for a couple of weeks and have noticed a problem with the date setting. Although I had set the correct date I have discovered that the date continually resets itself. This morning, for instance, I checked the date and discovered it was showing 2008. Corrected to 14/4/2013 and did some shots. The resulting metadata showed 14/4/2008 but when I checked the camera it was set at 14/4/2012! I have no explanation for this other than a bug in the firmware. Anyone else had similar experiences? Michael

thighslapper Posted April 14, 2013 Share #2 Posted April 14, 2013 No issues here. Sounds like you have a dud internal back-up battery that is not holding charge ....

I set the time zone to Korea/Tokyo and then find my picture data indicating that I took the picture at London time, many hours earlier. It has done this many times so now I always check the time when I take a picture. Is this a firmware problem or am I doing something wrong?

I have had the same problem, but only initially as I had not pressed "SET" at the right time, I presume. Still is one hour off, but I think I will take it off "Daylight Savings Time". I do wish while on the Menu it would show on the Date/Time line, what the current setting is versus having to dig into that setting to find out. zanydave Posted April 14, 2013 Share #5 Posted April 14, 2013 I had this problem with my M9-P, had to go back to Solms. Electronics replaced, so I'm told. All FOC including CLA. Problem solved.
