N_B Posted April 11, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted April 11, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm looking for picture examples from the CV21 Skopar on the M240. I have this lens and I hope it works better on the M240 than on the M9. Could anybody post some pictures please? Thanks!
Advertisement Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Hi N_B, Take a look here CV21 Skopar on M240. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Ecar Posted April 11, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted April 11, 2013 I did a couple of quick tests a while ago and no, the red edges are not gone if that's what you are asking. It seems like it's a little bit better, but definitely not ideal... Perhaps some future FW update designed for Leica lenses may improve the situation, but the way I see it software correction will still be required - although you may get away with it if you are a BW shooter or are happy to crop. I'm afraid I have deleted the test pictures, as they were really straight shots of a white wall - and the lens and I are now in different locations. N_B Posted April 12, 2013 Author Share #3 Â Posted April 12, 2013 Thanks for your fast response. I'm not only interested in the red corners. That should be correctable with cornerfix. But what is with the resolution loss towards the edges. Is this better with the new M. This is in my opinion the bigger problem because its not correctable by firmware or any other software. And I do not want to crop. Then I could use a other lens. :-)
