Tony C. Posted March 31, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 31, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) When the M8 is turned OFF, are there any possible problems which could result from storing the camera in a tight space which will put pressure on the shutter release button? In other words, if the shutter release button is either fully or partly depressed for a period of time, might it cause any problems? Thanks in advance. Regards, Tony C. Although I do not know the internal workings opf the M8 I believe the shutter button is just a 4 position switch. No press (first position) = off, slight press (second position) = meter on, first stop (third position) = meter (exposure) lock, then full press (forth position) shutter fires. About the only thing that could happen is you would ware out the switch.
