Hypothetical LC1/D2 question ... creating a true Panasonic/Leica hybrid.

Let's say I prefer the cosmetics and ergonomics of the Panasonic LC1 to the Leica D2 (all-black finish and molded hand grip, respectively) but prefer the .jpg image processing of the of the D2 to that of the LC1, even though I shoot RAW most of the time.

Would it be possible to combine the best of both by simply swapping the main PC board between the two cameras or would other components have to be swapped as well in order for either camera to work? I'm asking because I may have an opportunity to do just this with a local D2 owner who will allow me to make just such a swap between his D2 and my LC1 as compensation for replacing his badly scratched viewfinder (the part for which can be purchased for under $40 from Panasonic's online parts service and plus labor, would represent my contribution to him).

Based upon my previous experience crawling around inside my LC1, swapping circuit boards will be fairly easy, but if I have to swap the entire guts of the two cameras, it's probably too much of a nuisance to be worthwhile.

Any camera techs out there who have any experience with these cameras?
