Using remote on D2

Alan--

You know the D2 has a couple different modes for talking to the computer. Check the D2 instructions for which one to use when addressing it via the remote control software.

Remember also, the Leica remote software won't drive the Panasonic camera (and vice versa).

And since I have a Mac, I can't speak to Windows variations; but the Leica remote control software no longer works with the latest version of the Mac OS. Perhaps something similar is afoot with XP.

Good luck. It's probably just that you don't have the camera set to the proper operating mode. Try another to get both computer and camera responding.

Howard,

I have some perhaps good news.

When you first try to open Leica software it quits.

Hit the Reopen button. It will quit again.

Hit the Try Again button. It will work.

I use OS X 10.4.9 PowerBook G4.

Have a good time.

Alan,

Follow Howard's suggestions. The software works with XP on Toshiba laptop.

Have a good time.

Great! Thanks, Kamil!

Gee, I gave up too soon!
