ajthornbury Posted March 30, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted March 30, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) How do I use the USB remote to control my D2. I have loaded the software, plugged in the USB lead. The computer can detect the camera, but the software doesn't respond. I am using Windows XP home. ho_co Posted March 30, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted March 30, 2007 Alan-- You know the D2 has a couple different modes for talking to the computer. Check the D2 instructions for which one to use when addressing it via the remote control software. Â Remember also, the Leica remote software won't drive the Panasonic camera (and vice versa). Â And since I have a Mac, I can't speak to Windows variations; but the Leica remote control software no longer works with the latest version of the Mac OS. Perhaps something similar is afoot with XP. Â Good luck. It's probably just that you don't have the camera set to the proper operating mode. Try another to get both computer and camera responding. Â I use OS X 10.4.9 PowerBook G4. Â Have a good time. Â Alan, Â Follow Howard's suggestions. The software works with XP on Toshiba laptop. Â Have a good time.
