telewatt Posted April 2, 2013 Share #21 Posted April 2, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I can see the point of the forum rules about valuation with common items, its easy enough to search the net and ebay especially to get a history of prices achieved, but with something which appears to be unknown it might be more friendly and helpful to offer some advice about how one would go about getting a valuation for such rare items. Gerry You're right. It is still seen as such, otherwise this would have been closed long ago. So I see it.... regards, Jan
Advertisement Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Hi telewatt, Take a look here Rodenstock-Tele-Eurynar 10cm 1:3.5 m39 Mount. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
theseus12 Posted April 2, 2013 Author Share #22 Posted April 2, 2013 Just to clarify, I was never looking for a valuation. If I gave that impression, I do apologize. I am quite familiar with all of the major sources for acquiring valuations on known items. As a regular buyer and seller of vintage cameras and lenses, I use those sources on a regular basis. My question was simply posed to try to elicit opinions from experts on how to deal with unknown and rare items like this. I could certainly place on Ebay and see what the market bears but I doubt I would get that many bids simply because no one would be searching for an item like this. I could contact someplace like Westlicht but would rather not go through that hassle for something that while rare may not have any value. You can see the dilemma. If I did not have to sell it, I would not worry about it.
doubice Posted April 4, 2013 Share #23 Posted April 4, 2013 I feel that selling this lens through eBay is the best route to take. If properly described with right key words, particularly in the title - interested parties and search engines will find it. Just my 2 cents.... Cheers, Jan
theseus12 Posted April 5, 2013 Author Share #24 Posted April 5, 2013 Thank you so much for your advice. I actually did go that way and listed on Ebay. I guess I will have to wait to see what happens. So far, I have had quite a few views and quite a few watchers.
