symmetron Posted March 21, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted March 21, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) The AF/MF button on my X1 was sticking and whenever I pushed the AF/MF button it would keep scrolling so I sent to Leica USA for warranty repair. I also asked to increase the resistance on the shutter and aperture dials. Â Just received the camera today and in addition to fixing the AF/MF button, the two top dials were adjusted so that they have really decent resistance. They are tight enough now that they won't just move without some force. Much better than the original resistance. Â There's a nice "clicking" as they are turned. Great improvement. Â Leica USA did a really nice job, but I've always had great experience with them over the years.

Steve Lane Posted March 22, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted March 22, 2013 Interesting comment; I sent my X1 for repair a few months ago and even though it was not part of the repair, the dials are more positive now. Like you say they 'click' into place better that before

symmetron Posted March 28, 2013 Author Share #4 Â Posted March 28, 2013 Well, my X1 was still in warranty and I sent it to Leica for a sticky AF/MF button. Since it was there for repair, I also asked them to tighten the dials which they did free of charge. So unfortunately, I have no idea how much that adjustment would cost. Sorry. Â All I can say is that it's a night and day improvement. How much would I pay for the adjustment if it were not covered by warranty? Probably not much. dave.gt Posted March 31, 2013 Share #5 Â Posted March 31, 2013 This is good information...my pad has gone wonky a few times out of control. Kept cleaning with a blower and it seems to be okay now. When I return from a trip in late April, I will send my X1 to Leica NJ and now I know I can have them tighten the two dials on top!!! Â Thank you!
