So it appears to be compatible mechanically but it also appears that Leica consider any in-camera adjustments to be too extreme, or perhaps unpredictable, to be a viable solution. The 21/3.4 Super-Angulon suffers edge issues too and no coding is supported by Leica, but post-processing software correction is possible and can work to a reasonable extent (although I don't find it perfect). But given that newer cameras will offer 'better quality' than those before them, I cannot see that supporting legacy, symmetrical lenses will be a viable option by in-camera means.
