Ario Arioldi Posted March 27, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted March 27, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've "sharpie"encoded my TriElmar (1st version) but only the 28 mm focal lenght is shown in the preview, when selected. Selecting 35mm or 50 mm seems to have no effect as if the lens was uncoded or the lens detection mode was set on off. Is it normal? I guess I've red something about that in the Forum but I cannot find it anymore. Â Ario
Advertisement Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Hi Ario Arioldi, Take a look here Hand Coded TriElmar 28-35-50. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
marknorton Posted March 27, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted March 27, 2007 The M8 uses the position of the frame selection lever to figure out which of the three focal lengths is selected. Is your lens bringing up the correct bright-line frames? If so, you should see the correct focal length in the info window if the lens is coded correctly. Are you using the right code - here's mine... Â

Is it your lens a 1st or 2nd series? I guess there is some difference in the frame selector mechanism between the two. Ario

You might just have missed the code for the Tri-elmar and gotten one of the other 28mm codes.

You might just have missed the code for the Tri-elmar and gotten one of the other 28mm codes. You are probably right: maximum aperture is shown as 2.0 while it should be 4.0. I will try to code it again. Ario
