Artichoke Posted March 27, 2007 Share #1  Posted March 27, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) attending a local arts festival I had about 5 folks comment on my M8 & one of them was a photojournalist working for the Chronicle we took photographs of one another & he posted a charming entry in his blog that I thought I would share  Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost  scroll down to the March 25 entry  I was surprised with the attention this little camera got & now understand better why some seek ways to disguise their camera, though I did not find this a bother and enjoyed my encounter with this photographer
Advertisement Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Hi Artichoke, Take a look here you meet the nicest folks carrying Leicas. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
craigrmurray Posted March 28, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted March 28, 2007 Arthur: Â You're right about carrying a Leica around other photographers -- kinda like the way walking a cute dog on a leash is a chick magnet The Leica, and probably any rangefinder camera now, almost looks quaint and a touch "antique" compared to Point 'n' Shoots and big howitzer DSL's. Â Try this sometime -- grab something really old, like a Rolleiflex TLR or a Kodak Medalist or a Box Brownie (anything designed before 1960) and walk around. That'll be more like walking a hyena on a leash! Â Live well and long, Â Craig
