ns_ng Posted February 19, 2013 Share #1 Posted February 19, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I made a stopover at Hokitika, located on the west coast of the South Island. I saw a group of men with long poles with large nets walking along the shore. As the waves moved in, they scooped up the water to catch some sort of fish. The tiny fish, they were trying to catch is known as whitebait, a local delicacy that can fetch as much as $60 per kg. Late afternoon shot using Sony A850 w/180mm Apo-Elmarit. Welcome, dear visitor! pauledell Posted February 19, 2013 Share #2 Posted February 19, 2013 Excellent picture using the back lighting to silhouette the subject and emphasize the texture of the water. Paul
