Advertisement Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Hi k-hawinkler, Take a look here Junco Calisthenics (x7). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
platypus Posted February 18, 2013 Share #2 Posted February 18, 2013 These are great. It looks as though that Junco knows you are there and is putting on a bit of a show for the camera, in the final shot he/she seems to be eyeing you to see if you are impressed. Dee. Hi Dee, I think you are right! Even when one is 30 to 50 feet away and points a camera at them, they notice immediately and take evasive action. It's very rare that a bird gets into a pose (http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/nature-wildlife/271688-robin-magnificent.html, http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/nature-wildlife/271979-robin-portrait.html) and stares or, like this little fella, gives a performance. Well, I certainly was impressed by the excellent show, looking forward to an encore.
pauledell Posted February 18, 2013 Share #4 Posted February 18, 2013 K-H, A marvelous series. With the performance given you by the active Junco, you must reward him with extra bird feed. Paul
gshay Posted February 18, 2013 Share #5 Posted February 18, 2013 K-H, You know I download every picture you post! My sanity was fine until recently, but now my wife says I have "bird on the brain" due to the some 10 billion beautiful bird pictures I have collected from your postings. At my age now a bird brain? Sad! George Compos non mentis
