Currently catching up on all things Leica - from 1996! Had a subscription for 1996 to investigate the world of Leica (as well as buying the then recently published 'Leica M Compendium' by Jonathan Eastland), but it was Nov 2010 before I could justify actually buying a camera etc. Just rediscovered the magazines in a dark and dusty corner of the loft.

I often delve into my collection of old LFIs Keith. Taking the first one in your picture (LFI 1/96) Pages 18-21 contain a good example of what I miss in the current offering; viz. a first-person account by a renowned working professional photographer, in this instance 'Reportage Photography' by Luis Castaneda. In fact the following issues contain more excellent features on Travel Photography and Trick Photography by the same author. Perhaps such people are too busy nowadays, because too many features in similar vein are written by journalists rather than expert photographers, Now I have stirred the pot again

These magazines are timeless, the latest offering on the ipad for $1 each is such a terrific resource, but I don't believe they go back to 1996. I also enjoy downloading the LHSA back issues and reading through those journals, there is a large amount of information that it's overwhelming.
