spoons Posted February 21, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted February 21, 2013 Camera is beautiful and makes my poor little 1DS 3 look like a toy. Interestingly I have already seen that there is room in my life for both. It may be a little bit about familiarity but the S is chunky and quite slow somehow. The results are wonderful and its a great new tool. I have hired 30 + 35 + 70 until my 30 - 90 zoom arrives. Perhaps that will make it feel more familiar to use. I miss some of the functions on the Canon, the biggest being that you CAN shoot without a card. It is great but not everything and I wont be selling the Canon anytime soon. marknorton Posted February 21, 2013 Share #6 Posted February 21, 2013 I do agree. I have no experience of the S (3) but when I tried the S2, I did find it rather slow in use even trhough the IQ was clearly excellent. For my type of photography, a big Nikon and Leica M fit the bit rather better.
