pauledell Posted February 11, 2013 Share #2 Posted February 11, 2013 Wow! That sounds so final. A shame. This is a fine picture of a sick society. Paul
carl_valiquet Posted February 11, 2013 Share #3 Posted February 11, 2013 I personally like the «processing»; sort of underlines the «no future» atmosphere that your image conveys. ( In this department store was there a coffee shop now replaced by the Starbuck across the street?). C*
A miller Posted February 11, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted February 11, 2013 Very kind of you. I still wish it came out a lot smoother. Perhaps I should limit my crack development to pics of this nature ?! The department store is actually on east 57th street in manhattan between park avenue and Lexington. It was a large multi-level discount clothing store called Daffy's, and right around the corner from Bloomingdales. Given the location and the large establishment, I thought it was particularly amusing to have this sign. And my kids were laughing and snapping their iPhones away for their Instagram accounts. So I said, what the heck, and joined in the fun!
