sc_rufctr Posted April 21, 2013 Share #21 Â Posted April 21, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I regularly use a 135mm Elmarit on my M3, (built in goggles). The 90mm frame lines come up and the goggles enlarge that image to a reasonable size. The reality is I can only effectively use it on an M3 because of the view finder magnification. I've tried it on my M4-P but its next to useless. I'll post some examples later. Â I've also been considering using VISOFLEX adapter and then another adapter so I can use the lens head on my R6.2. Well see how that goes. Â The point of this post is that you can use a 90mm on an M but it just works better on an SLR.
Advertisement Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Hi sc_rufctr, Take a look here R vs. M system for 90mm lenses?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
efreed2754 Posted April 21, 2013 Share #22 Â Posted April 21, 2013 Hi. While have an R8, just shoot M9P at least until new M arrives (hurry up Mr. Stork!). Â So thinking of the M only, my plans are to use M glass for 75 and below and R glass starting with 100 APO or 180 and 2x extender. Â Agree 90 usually crossover, though if traveling for weeks at a time, prefer the weight of the M glass. Otherwise agree with keen observations others have made above.
