philipus Posted February 9, 2013 Share #21  Posted February 9, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I pulled the trigger yesterday. Nice lens -- didn't expect to be here, tho. 5 bucks lighter and one Gorgeous lens later, I b'lieve I'm in business for a while.  There are still 2 50 FLE's at my dealer's place. Any interest, give me a poke.  Regards to all -- and many thanks Bill W.  Congrats Bill, it's a fabulous lens. Will you use it for stage photography as well? Guest borge Posted February 9, 2013 Share #22  Posted February 9, 2013 Enjoy... Too bad those 50's are not APOs  Are we talking about the 50 Lux ASPH? It is actually an APO and FLE design. The "APO" and "FLE" designations where just chosen to distinguish the other lenses from their previous "ASPH" designs (which wasn't based on APO or FLE designs). The 50 Summilux ASPH however IS an APO and FLE design from day one, and since it is the first "ASPH" 50mm Summilux as well it doesn't need the "APO" or "FLE" designation to distinguish it from the earlier non-ASPH 50mm Summilux.
