Johannes Knightworth Posted March 24, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 24, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Excuse for the fact that I know nothing about digital photography what so ever, but I have a question concerning the M8. Is it possible to create a"period" image with the M8, say simulate different leica lenses digitally ? If so is this a standard "thing" or does one do this with Photoshopping, and how about the DOF and grain, can one simulate different B&W films in combination with the lens simulation also ? I realize this is more than one question but I am curious.... Ps. I'm refering to the older Leica lenses here....
Advertisement Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Hi Johannes Knightworth, Take a look here M8 Question. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
gwelland Posted March 24, 2007 Share #2 Posted March 24, 2007 Generally the various 'looks' of older emulsions and lens effects are handled through tools like Photoshop and either manually or using 3rd party plug in tools. The M8 will paint images accoriding to the lenses that you use though. i.e. if you like the character of some older softer portrait lenses then they should work the same on the M8.
