Jeff S Posted September 12, 2013 Share #41 Posted September 12, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) We make decisions different ways. I wouldn't rely on others' gallery results as a way to determine what works for me; I have to try it for myself to decide, with my own photos. And my criteria for b/w extend beyond the notion of neutral prints. I agree with another of wattsie's points, which is that it's too bad when folks don't experiment. Cone allows you to print your own photos using their system, and their equipment. They have many different ink sets, paper options, etc. I doubt you've seen them all in your gallery visits. And there's no need to invest without testing first. The conclusion may be the same, but the process to determine that is different. Different strokes. No concern to me either way; whatever floats your boat. Jeff

BrendanD Posted September 18, 2013 Share #42 Posted September 18, 2013 I keep things fairly simple for home use. MacBookPro 2012 Aperture for basic processing and library handling. SEPro for final editing (mainly control points, with or without film effects) Printer Epson R2400 with original Epson Inks Advanced B&W and Archival Matt Epson paper. Very happy with the results.
