Rmrbhs Posted December 25, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted December 25, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I just gave my son a R8 for Christmas and as I was showing him how to use it, I discovered that the diopter wheel was set to a slightly positive setting. The manual says that the wheel should be pulled out and turned to the desired setting, but the wheel will not pull out. Is there an easy solution to this? Thanks. Â It shouldn't be a problem - you just hook your finger-nail underneath the wheel and pull it in the direction of your eye. At the risk of stating the obvious (apologies in advance) you could check that it's not out or half out already. Try pushing it back (towards the camera body) then out again with your fingernail. If it really won't move, then it is faulty. Â PS Welcome to the Forum!
Rmrbhs Posted January 1, 2013 Author Share #3 Â Posted January 1, 2013 Thanks for your help. It is not that the diopter wheel is pulled out and then turned to the desired setting, it is more of an up and down movement. I found that when the wheel is pushed up, it spins freely and is locked again when it is pushed back down. Again, thanks for your help.
